Rules of the Trail

Safe Snowmobiling Everyone!!!

  • Stay in Line.
  • Watch the machine in back of you. If that machine stops, you MUST stop.

     
  • Whatever you take into the woods, bring out with you.

     
  • We have a leader, anchor man who rides at the back of the line,
    and usually a rider who rides up and down the line.
    He is there in case of a breakdown and will guide us across any main roads.

     
  • Do not cross a main road until the signal has been given.
    If no signal man is available, look both ways before proceeding.

     
  • When using a road and meeting traffic, slow down to 5 MPH.

     
  • Often, our leader will see a spot that looks like a challenge.
    He may stop and give us a chance to play.
    When the signal is given, line up.

     
  • It is a good idea for a husband to follow his wife,
    or be close behind her in case
    of a breakdown or if she gets stuck.
